The pace of prophecy fulfillment is picking up. This coming year will be filled with significant events which we must be alert to recognize and understand from the Word, rather than from the interpretation of men. May YHVH endow us with great wisdom, with understanding, and with courage. Thank you, Pete Rambo (natsab blog), for this article:
It is hard to understate the enormity of recent happenings regarding the fate of Jerusalem. I am still trying to process it all, but I do think it safe to say that we, mankind, have crossed a threshold into prophetically uncharted waters.
If you have not heard, on Kislev 23, 5777, the United Nations Security Council passed Resolution 2334 that condemns any Israeli activity beyond its 1967 borders. Further, the Resolution gives teeth to the international body to begin using lawsuits and eventually military action against not only Israel, but any who would side with her. According to the enforceable text of the Resolution, the Old City, the Western Wall as well as multiple Jewish suburbs around Jerusalem now belong to a non-existent people group commonly called ‘Palestinians.’
The political intrigue leading up to its passing is an interesting study in multiple characters.
After posting all 14 of Bob Parham’s articles about going up to Jerusalem for the feasts, Al McCarn of “The Barking Fox” blog has written a terrific summary of the real and critical reasons why we should all have our hearts set on the Holy City. Please read prayerfully and with the constant thought that when YHVH gives a command, He also provides the means to obey the command. Jerusalem is on your horizon!!
There is a children’s story about a Little Red Hen who worked diligently to feed her chicks and keep her house in order. One day she found some grain, which she decided to plant. She asked the other barnyard animals to help, but each of them refused for one reason or another. The same thing happened each time she asked for help in tending the plants, harvesting the wheat, taking it to the mill to grind into flour, and bake the flour into bread.
At the end of this lengthy process, as the Little Red Hen pulled the fresh bread hot from the oven, all of the animals came running to help her eat it. But before any of them could come near, she said, “Not one of you helped me plant the…
“Then Jesus said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.” John 10:7
In Yeshua’s “I am” statement about being the Door of the Sheep, He teaches us that He is “the Door”, not just “a door”. He is saying that He is not only our Shepherd who leads us into the sheepfold of the Kingdom, but He is the only door by which we can enter and be saved and find safe pasture (John 10:9). There are deeper meanings for understanding Yeshua as our door into the Kingdom of God, so come with me now as we dig deeper into the Word to explore these meanings.
It is helpful to understand more about sheep and shepherding in general and specifically during Yeshua’s time. Of all domesticated animals, sheep are the most helpless. Sheep will spend their entire day…
My thanks to Al McCarn (The Barking Fox Blog) for drawing my attention to the two letters that follow. They are a beautiful and welcome example of many remarkable exchanges that have been occurring between Judah and Ephraim in recent years, just as the prophets foretold. (Ezek 37 for example) We are watching His Plan unfold as HE intends it to. Praise Yah! May we humbly submit ourselves to HIS vision of reunification – not our own.
Many people realized the significance of Ken Rank’s letter to the Jewish people when he published it last week. We have only begun to see the impact of it. Within a few short days it appeared as a guest blog piece in The Times of Israel, and today Breaking Israel News published it along with a deeply moving response by Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz.
In years to come, when our God has completed His work of bringing together the fragmented parts of His people, these two letters by Ken and Eliyahu will be counted as major milestones in the process of breaking down the wall between those of us from the Christian side and our brethren from the Jewish side.
I am reblogging this excellent article by Pete Rambo of Natsab blog for one reason: I want to keep it handy for my own reference!! Thanks, Pete, for a great compendium of information on this topic of the Two Houses.
One of the large theological stumbling blocks in Hebrew roots and Messianic circles today is a doctrinal position termed ‘Two House theology.’ It is a topic I have covered on this blog before, but recent conversation has led me to understand that we need to go over it again. I firmly believe that Scripture, and especially prophecy, cannot be rightly understood until one fully grasps and embraces the Two House position. That is not to say one cannot be saved, but I do not believe one will understand what is happening and how prophecy is being fulfilled until they fully understand and embrace Two House.
Here is an opening video that will begin our discussion. Please watch, then read on…
Zac begins with seven verses that clearly demonstrate that the idea of two houses, and the meaning of the phrase, is not only entirely Scriptural, but connected to multiple significant…
In my last blog we examined the story of Jacob, Leah, and Rachel to examine how people rely on themselves and their own devices instead of trusting YHVH. The Bible is packed with such illustrations for good reason. There is one true stronghold (YHVH) and one false stronghold (self) and for each person there is a lifelong battle between the two.
Since the fall of Adam and Eve, evil has infested our planet and now many people agree that we are in or near the end times when evil increases (2 Tim 3:1-17). Although Yeshua clearly stated that no one knows the hour of His return except the Father, predictions and rumors (often conflicting) are more rampant than ever. Many of us feel the need to be informed and prepared, and so we should. However, we should not be concerned with the predictions and the rumors, but rather with Scripture…
This is one of the ‘fairest’ and most objective discussions of the topic of fairness and equality that I have ever seen, and is well worth a careful reading with some sincere, meditative prayer.
We are called to abandon our ways and be conformed to His Ways, which are so radically different from those of human nature that many (most!) of us spend a lifetime trying to get the ‘old man’ unplugged so that we can plug in to His ways. May we all take a fresh look at the way we walk out the Father’s desires for His children!
I recently read an article on equality and fairness titled, surprisingly, People Don’t Actually Want Equality, by Paul Bloom published October 22, 2015, in the Atlantic. This seems like an heretical statement in the home of the brave and the land of the free where we grew up on a diet of equal rights. Of course, equality will never happen. Genes, heritage, place of birth, physical and mental disabilities and other things we do not control frustrate true equality.
The evidence in the article suggests we do not even really want equality. Studies show that “younger children actually have an anti-equality bias” and prefer distributions where they get a relative advantage.” One for you, two for me, sits well with the one who gets two. Small children and primates will complain bitterly if they get less, but are perfectly satisfied to receive…
“For we have found this man [referring to Paul] a plague, a creator of dissension among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes.” Acts 24:5 NKJV
Pete Rambo (natsab blog) has drawn my attention to a brief 12-minute video published by 119 Ministries, which , to quote Pete, is a “Terrific video articulating what it means to be a Nazarene, who the Nazarenes were and what some of the Church Fathers had to say about them.” Well worth this small investment of your time. Enjoy!
LORD or YHVH? Jesus or Yeshua? Sunday or Sabbath? Church or Synagogue? Gentile or Israel? Clean or Unclean? Law or Grace? 2000 years after the Messiah, wherever we live, whether it's Sri Lanka or any other part of the world, all of us require to learn how to do Bible things in Bible ways.
This page is mostly a collection of studies from other sites that I've found while researching the Tribes of Israel & the Greater Exodus. Let us learn together. Let us repent together. Let us go Home together.
